The Persuasion Playbook

The moment influence becomes trust

Now, more than ever, professionals in organisations need to develop and enhance their skills at leading and influencing others without direct authority.   Effective influencing is about affecting change in a positive way that preserves and enhances your relationships with others.

It's becoming more important as organisations move towards flatter structures and seek to improve responsiveness to customer demands and create efficiencies.  In this environment, the need to be able to influence fellow team members is now an essential survival skill.

The Persuasion Playbook helps people:

  • Win buy-in for ideas, initiatives and change

  • Navigate complex stakeholders, silos and competing interests

  • Build stronger relationships across teams and functions

  • Lead and communicate more effectively

  • Influence without authority, including more senior or experienced colleagues

Participants will learn to:

  • Prepare a clear influencing strategy built around the audience

  • Understand different perspectives, needs and potential concerns

  • Build trust and credibility with internal and external stakeholders

  • Create and articulate a compelling proposition

  • Influence across teams, functions and levels of seniority

  • Handle questions and resistance with confidence

  • Secure genuine commitment while strengthening important relationships

Amazing – thank you for that. I really enjoyed your workshop and would highly recommend it!

Workshop Details

The Persuasion Playbook is ideally suited to groups of up to eight participants.

For the greatest impact, we recommend a 2.5-day format: a one-day interactive workshop followed by 1.5 days of two-hour coaching sessions attended in pairs. The workshop introduces the core concepts, tools and techniques using participants’ own live influencing scenarios. Follow-up coaching then helps individuals apply the learning to their specific challenges and receive tailored feedback.

A standalone one-day workshop is also a highly effective option. It provides participants with practical tools, plenty of application and a strong foundation for approaching influencing conversations with greater confidence and clarity.

Great facilitating skills, sharing both care and attention fairly to each participant. The workshops are excellent, tailoring content to business needs. Duncan is an excellent story teller and is highly engaging.
