The Write Way

A moment of clarity

In a world of information overload, effective business writing is about getting to the point quickly. No one has the time to decipher formal language and overly complex sentences - or the patience to wade through unnecessary waffle. The responsibility lies with the writer to make their message clear, concise and easy to understand.

Clear writing also requires clear thinking. Poorly structured emails, reports and proposals can obscure good ideas and undermine the writer’s credibility. Effective writers consider their reader, organise their thinking and communicate in a way that makes the important information easy to find and act upon.

The Write Way introduces practical tools and techniques for planning, structuring and refining written communication. It applies to emails, reports, proposals, executive summaries and other business documents - and gives participants a consistent approach they can use in almost any writing situation.

Giving participants the ability to:

  • Plan and structure documents more quickly

  • Tailor their content and writing style to the intended reader

  • Apply a simple framework to organise almost any business document

  • Write with greater clarity, brevity and impact

  • Use active language to make their writing more engaging

  • Control jargon, sentence length, repetition and unnecessary detail

  • Improve grammar, syntax and readability

  • Create clearer and more persuasive business proposals

Awesome Duncan, this is all really helpful, cheers! Nice meeting you too and I enjoyed the workshop very much.
